Fire Department
The first village hall and firehouse was a two-story frame building, with a belfry, and the first fire engine was a manually operated wagon with a 60-gallon tank The building was in a hollow, and firemen had to pull the wagon uphill, no matter where there was a fire. Later the building was moved to Zupon Street. It is now a residence.
